About Klariton

Built out of necessity. A spin-off from a working shop.

Klariton didn't start as a startup. It started as a problem. How does a European SMB get its products in front of ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI? We couldn't justify expensive enterprise software. We couldn't find a good answer for our own shop, so we built one.

Every good shopkeeper has a voice. The web has been mute for thirty years.

We grew up in commerce. We ran shops, built Shopify themes, and watched chains squeeze out specialty retail. Those chains knew less but spoke louder. The internet was supposed to fix that. Instead it gave us product grids, FAQ pages, and chatbots that mistake a wholesale request for a return.

Klariton is what we wished existed. A conversational layer grounded in your knowledge, written in your voice, sized for one shop or twenty. Built in Europe. Hosted in Europe. Designed so the auditor in the room is the easiest part of the deal, not the hardest.

What we believe

Six opinions. Some unfashionable.

Belief 01

Citations beat charisma.

An LLM that talks well but hallucinates is worse than a search bar. Every answer Klariton serves cites the source. Every. Single. One.

← We don't: ship "AI assistants" that improvise pricing.
Belief 02

Personas are a register, not a CRM segment.

You talk to a beginner differently than you talk to a pro. That's not a marketing tactic. It's basic respect for the person reading. Five personas, one source.

← We don't: let you A/B-test 47 personas. Five is the ceiling.
Belief 03

Outcomes, not engagement.

Time-on-site means nothing. Sessions mean nothing. Did the visitor leave with the answer they needed and the next step in hand? That's the only metric that counts. We show it, ugly numbers and all.

← We don't: tell you "engagement is up". That's vapor.
Belief 04

EU hosting is the floor, not a feature.

We're a German company. Frankfurt and Helsinki, full stop. Customer data never crosses the Atlantic, and your DPA officer can read our sub-processor list without lawyering.

← We don't: "support EU residency." We are EU residency.
Belief 05

Replacing humans is not the goal.

Klariton answers the question your shop has answered 10,000 times. Your humans answer the eleven-thousand-and-first, the one that needs them. Lead handoff is a first-class touchpoint, not an afterthought.

← We don't: sell "AI workforce reduction".
Belief 06

Less is durable.

Three touchpoint types. Five personas. One Studio. We say no to features more than we say yes. The product gets quieter as it ages, not louder.

← We don't: ship a feature because a competitor did.
Where we came from

From our own shop, out of our own frustration.

The shop

It started with naturbohne.de

Klariton is a spin-off from naturbohne.de, a specialty-coffee e-commerce project. The idea came from running a shop where the product needs explaining.

The problem

How do we show up in the AI answers?

Shoppers moved from search to ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI. One question kept coming back. How do we get our own products recommended by the LLMs? Enterprise software cost more than a small shop could justify.

The gap

Shopify's agentic program launched in the US first

The tooling that exists rolled out for the US market first. That left European SMBs without an affordable, GDPR-native path to being found by AI.

The product

We built it for ourselves, then for everyone

So we built the solution for our own shop. It worked. Every considered-purchase brand faces the same problem. So we turned it into a product any SMB can use, without the enterprise price tag.

Who's behind it

A founder who's shipped before.

Klariton is built and operated by a hands-on team. Email us and you reach a person. The founder takes the calls.
