What's a token?
Roughly: the cost of one LLM call plus retrieval. A typical Klariton answer takes ~150 tokens including grounding. The Studio shows live usage and forecasts your monthly burn.
Why a base plus tokens?
Per-seat pricing punishes small teams that scale. Pure usage pricing punishes you when traffic spikes. The base + tokens model lines costs up with the value: one flat price for the platform, fair metering for the conversations.
Can I switch plans?
Yes — monthly plans can be upgraded or downgraded at any point, prorated. Annual plans can be upgraded mid-term; downgrades take effect at renewal.
What if I run out of tokens?
Your touchpoints stay live. Studio shows a warning at 80%, throttles to lower-cost answers at 100%, and bills overage in 1k blocks. We never silently cut you off mid-conversation.
Do you offer non-profit or research pricing?
Yes. 50% off Starter and Growth for registered EU non-profits and university research. Email [email protected].
What about VAT and invoicing?
EU VAT is added where required. Invoices are issued by Klariton GmbH, Heilbronn. We support reverse-charge for valid VAT IDs. Pay by SEPA or card.
